About Keana Foundation

Keana Foundation is a national non-partisan, non-religious and non-governmental organization headquartered in Accra – Korle bu in the Greater Accra region of Ghana.   The Foundation wants to create a better and brighter world and tomorrow for as many individuals as possible. This includes those who are economically challenged the most vulnerable in society. Too many people feel as though no one cares and their lives do not matter. This organization was formed to dispel that notion and demonstrate that people genuinely care by providing the most basic needs of employment, housing, healthcare and support. There has always been a deep desire to impact the lives of society’s most vulnerable, the children. Out of that desire to assist kids in a tangible and meaningful way and that on the heart of the founder

We value collaborative efforts with partner organizations to increase effectiveness and scale. Keana views every entity as equal stakeholder in the process of development rather than observing classified relationships.

Values & Guiding Principles

  • We aim to recognize and value the potential of local resource and traditional wisdom of people. Our focus is concentrated on the receiver’s dignity instead of the donor’s pride.
  • We promote circular economy by ensuring maximum use of each material.
  • We value collaborative efforts with partner organizations to increase effectiveness and scale. Keana views every entity as equal stakeholder in the process of development rather than observing classified relationships.

Initiatives

Since 2019, Keana Foundation has built a network of communities from urban to modern villages in Ghana, channelizing material as a tool to address crucial gaps in rural infrastructure, water, environment, livelihood, education, health, disaster relief and rehabilitation. Its engagement with both the urban and rural population has galvanized a mass civic participation in addressing basic but neglected issues. Our model of development implemented through its various Initiatives proposes a more inclusive alternative economy where everyone is an equal stakeholder in the process.

Our Unique Culture

What makes us unique is; our transparency level that means donors will be ensured that each penny we are giving will be spent on the needy. We do this by uploading every documents and pictures of our beneficiary before and after donation is successfully conducted. Donor can see that the exact amount we receive and spend goes into.

Why Donate to Us?

  • You want to save the lives of people by donating for their social survival and improving their socio-economic status.
  • You need complete transparency of where your donation/charity is going.

Donors can completely put their trust in us regarding their donations and charity. There are many people in Ghana and all over the world who wish to spend their money on non- profit charity organizations but we are unsure about to whom we should donate. In order to ensure complete transparency, Keana Foundation uploads all the documents with our beneficiaries success stories so the donors can see that their money is spent on a right cause. our organization routinely reports on how donations are used and makes its financial documents (e.g., tax returns, annual reports, audits), fundraising practices, and compensation policies open to the public.

Processing Center

Keana Foundation Processing Centre’s are first point where all material collected from the cities goes through a rigorous process of sorting, segregating, repairing and packing before dispatching it to the remotest villages of Ghana.
Why Processing? Because the dignity of the receiver and giving with dignity is at the centre of all that we do. because when people in remote villages of Ghana work for many days on building a bamboo bridge or digging a well or building a community hall, they deserve a reward… NOT Charity.
